In working with Charlie Bell, I felt like I had not only a great design artist at my disposal, but a trusted advisor. He was accessible, honest and thoughtful during my entire project, even when it was difficult for me to see the light at the end of the tunnel. As with any design project, there were bumps in the road. But with Charlie, they were always handled with professionalism, respect and humor. Tool Studios created a site that constantly garners compliments from those who see it and orders from those who visit. Having the opportunity to work with Charlie not only gave me a phenomenal site that I'm proud to call my own, but a respect for someone who was able to visualize my dream and make it into reality. Long time collector of the World's Largest "Members Only" Jackets, this Cheesehead has finally made the trek from the University of Wisconsin, armed with a degree in Fine Art, emphasis in Graphic Design and Business Minor, to the land of the pretty people. He literally could be the world's fastest and most efficient designer that has ever graced the Tool offices. Raw talent and quick timing allow this designer to grasp a clients needs from just the first few words uttered at a meeting. A maniacal work out regimen, insane love for his dog and a wonderful girlfriend at home keep this designer in the game and on his toes.
RAFIQ PREMJI
Rafiq, the newest web dude to grace the Tool office, has mad skills when it comes to development AND doing crazy stunts. That's right, look for this maniac jumping out of planes, rock climbing, cycling and snowboarding during his time off. He can also mix some pretty sick tapes and is always "rocking out" code from his desk. Backed by a degree in math from CU, he's at the top of his game, and we're lucky to have him on our team!
ALYSON VARVEL BELL
This strong willed and opinionated woman has to pool all of her skills gained from the "School of Life Experience" to tame the circus in the Tool office. Taking care of finances by day working from her satellite office, she has to wear many hats to ensure that everyone is taken care of at home and at the office. Jack of All and Master of None seems to be the mantra that allows her to keep her head above water. She fashions herself an accessories whore, which why she demands that Charles work his fingers to the bone! What makes her most happy is being able to contribute to projects that she has the experience to be involved with as well as a passion for designing, decorating and planning intimate events.
JAMIE HANNAH
The fashionista of ToolStudios comes to work every morning with a big smile and Starbucks in hand. Gaining her position through nepotism as she has had a relationship with the Bell family for years, first befriending the eldest Bell son, and then falling head over heals in love with the youngest - she just can't stay away, and we are the better for it. This girl loves baseball more than anything, and brings that passion with her to Tool to successfully manage accounts, the office and keep us all in line!
Beckie Scruggs
For Beckie, life is all about balance. When she isn’t balancing on a four inch beam or holding a difficult yoga pose, she can be found balancing the many projects around the office. Beckie is armed with degrees in Communications, and English, and aside from being Charlie’s dedicated assistant (a full time job, for sure) she has taken on the roles of our toolbelt writer, and account manager. In her free time, Beckie enjoys coaching gymnastics, practicing yoga, dancing, snowboarding, hiking, camping, and spending time with her son.
Aaron Spear
Aaron has many aliases including Magento Master and jQuery Ninja. He is a great addition to the toolbelt and and comes to us with degrees in Graphic Design and Web Design from Antonelli College. When he’s not busy developing top notch websites, this groovy guy can be found hitting up live shows, drumming, juggling, camping or charging down mountains on his bike or snowboard. Aaron moved to Colorado back in 2007 after living in Missoula, Montana and the UK, and we’re sure glad he did! Tool is thrilled to add his background and skills to our ever growing repertoire.
